Holidays in the midst of nature
The region’s three nature parks always have a surprise in store with their diverse landscapes. The different theme trails help visitors to explore the nature parks.
In the nature park Diemtigtal activities alternate between relaxation and exploration. The park’s excursion “Back to Nature” introduces visitors to all the different sides it has to offer. The smaller guests have fun on the Grimmimutz Trail and the water playground Gwunderwasser. Those looking for sporting activities can simply explore the park by bicycle or scooter. The farms, guest houses or Alpine cheesemakers offer products from the region.
400 km² of unspoiled landscapes
In the area between the three cities Bern, Thun and Fribourg, visitors will find distraction with the multifarious fauna and the views of the Nature Park Gantrisch. The nature park also provides visitors with an insight into the area’s history and guides them on the traces of the past with the Old Belp Castle, the Way of St. James and the Amsoldigen Church. Apart from the various relaxing ways of discovering the park, there are also many sporting activities: the rope park and the Gurnigel via ferrata let participants break into a sweat.
All of nature’s nuances
At the Parc Chasseral, visitors can’t stop being amazed. Nature is showing everything it has, from pastured woodlands to moor landscapes and steep rocks. The best way to explore the hiking paradise Chasseral is via the Path of the Pioneers or the Natura Trail. Cosy mountain guest houses ensure that no visitor leaves the park with an empty stomach. In winter, cross-country skiers, skiers and snowboarders conquer the snow-covered region.
