Fresh air, red cheeks, unspoiled nature and wonderful views

Snow is crunching under your feet, the firs are glistening in the sun and your breath makes little clouds in the air. Aren’t winter and snowshoe hikes wildly romantic?
The Region of Bern offers a wide range of winter hikes and snowshoe tours. In the surroundings of Interlaken alone are 220 km of snowy landscapes and untouched nature reserves which are only waiting to be discovered. The Bernese Jura and the Seeland show off with more than 120 km of snowshoe routes and winter hiking trails. Very special hikes are the 2-hour full moon hike to the Chasseral as well as the hike along the scenic loop at the Twannberg which leads hikers through snowy pastures and small forests.

The perfect hiking route for every taste

When it is about having fun in the snow, hardly any other Swiss region can compete with the towns of Gstaad, Adelboden, Lenk, Kandersteg, Jungfrau Region, Interlaken as well as Bern. The Jungfrau Region offers 14 different tours, each over a distance of 102 km. Between Mürren, Männlichen and Grindelwald hikers experience beautiful worlds of snow. On the different trails in the Nature Park Gantrisch visitors can follow the tracks of rabbits, stoats and chamoises. A beautiful relaxing tour over 4.2 km is the snowshoe tour in Kemmeriboden-Bad in the Emmental which leads hikers over snowy meadows, hills and past farmhouses. Those seeking adventure should try the routes in Adelboden, Lenk, Kandersteg and in the Destination Gstaad. Due to their different and diverse offers, the regions are a real paradise for every winter hiker and snowshoe enthusiast.
