World-class tennis

For one week, Gstaad is star-studded with top-class tennis players during the Swiss Open Gstaad. The spectators are spoiled with electrifying rallies all the way from the first to the final match.
The Swiss Open Gstaad is the only clay court tournament in Switzerland, enthralling its spectators and competitors alike for more than 100 years. The tennis matches are played in the Roy Emerson Arena, named after the five-time record winner from Australia, which seats up to 4,500 spectators. The arena is easily accessible from Gstaad station and, surrounded by charming chalets, gentle hills and lush meadows, it is worth more than just a glance. Every year, the tennis tournament attracts famous players, among them were Stefan Edberg, Boris Becker, Yannick Noah, Jim Courier, Roger Federer and Stan Wawrinka. The Swiss spectators will remember a special highlight: the tournament of 2004 - when Roger Federer won the final match.

The right event for every taste in the tournament village

The tournament also offers plenty of entertainment off the court. Thanks to the restaurants, bars, sponsor stalls and evening entertainment after the last match, the tournament village fulfils every visitor’s needs. At the frequent signing sessions, fans have the opportunity to get close to their idols and possibly even talk to them. (German)
