Visitors enjoy the authentic atmosphere of mountain huts. The 152 Swiss Alpine Club houses and private lodgings are a delight for nature lovers.
There are many reasons to opt for remote holidays in an Alpine hut. The mountain location, for example, often accompanied by an impressive view. For winter sports enthusiasts, meanwhile, the next ski slope is just a stone’s throw away. The loveliest summer hiking routes in the Bernese Oberland can be found on the doorstep. What’s more, the fresh mountain air and cool lakes are just the thing on hot days. All these advantages make Alpine huts the ideal getaway destination.

Nature is calling

In terms of design and furnishings, there’s something for every taste: chalets, converted barns and farmhouses ranging from 40 to 200 m2 in size, with everything from rustic interiors to Nordic design and luxurious amenities. Visitors enjoy the view of the mountains from the balcony or terrace. There are endless Alpine huts for guests to choose from, whether they want to be isolated in a meadow, nestled at the foot of a mountain or close to a source of fresh spring water.

Fly, run and swim

The bustle may be far away, but there’s plenty to experience around the mountain huts. Those who want to reach for the skies can take a paragliding flight. Visitors can go fishing by the mountain lake or dive into the water for a dip. If they like, they can plan their own tour and explore the diversity of the mountain huts on a hut-to-hut trek, hiking from place to place and stopping off in the local nature reserves.
