Numerous specialities have found their origins in the Canton of Bern. The famous Swiss product Ovomaltine made the transition from a medical preparation to a sweet which is not only loved by children. Beer fans are delighted about the highest density of breweries in all of Switzerland, whereas different fruits of the region are used for the juices of the brand Bänz. The Mandelbärli, almond sweets in the shape of a teddy bear, is available in 12 different flavours and is the perfect grab-and-go snack.
