Stechelberg im Winter

Stechelberg

In the middle of the Bernese Oberland, at a height of 922 metres above sea-level, the village offers visitors lots of peace and quiet. The many different activities that can be quickly reached from Stechelberg promise lots of variety.

Whether it be extending one’s horizons in the Valley Museum, speeding through the countryside on the mountain bike, or experiencing the shooting location of a James Bond film at the Restaurant Piz Gloria on the Schilthorn: Stechelberg offers the right entertainment for every taste. From the helicopter, guests are treated to a very special view. High above Stechelberg they almost come within touching distance of the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau.

Seasonal fun guaranteed

Boredom is never in season in Stechelberg. In winter, the two big ski areas Mürren–Schilthorn and Kleine Scheidegg–Männlichen are easy to reach. Activities like sledding and curling, and Lauterbrunnen’s natural ice rink will melt the heart of every lover of winter sports. When temperatures rise, the UNESCO themed trails invite one to go on informative hikes. At least as exciting as this is visiting the conservation area or scaling the surrounding mountains.
