Walk in the footsteps of Albert Einstein, admire the most important selection of works by Paul Klee, visit the world of the gold prospectors or travel to the Stone Age. This and much more is made possible by the different museums in the City of Bern. A special highlight is the Night at the Museums. Thousands of night owls visit Bern’s cultural institutions once a year between 6pm and 2am. The visitors’ eyes are not only drawn to the exhibitions, but also to the façades of the museums which are bathed in light and thus, give a magical atmosphere to the entire city.
Experience the traditional side of Switzerland, epitomised by the Bernese Oberland. In Interlaken, for example, visitors learn all about the alphorn manufacture. Fans of suspense-thrillers should head to Meiringen where they can immerse themselves in the world of Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson.
