The Miracle of Bern
Everyone has heard about the football miracle that took place in 1954, when the huge favourite Hungary was surprisingly defeated by the German team at the World Cup.
This victory is still remembered to this day at the newly built Stade de Suisse Wankdorf stadium in Bern. Designed as a football stadium, but also suitable for team events, presentations and workshops, the event and convention centre with its capacity for 31,000 spectators is also the home ground of the BSC Young Boys. However, the multifunctional rooms also offer a range of options for events for between 10 and 1,200 people. These include, for example, a climbing event in the stadium with various courses that your team will be sure to find very challenging. bern.com

Located next to the Parliament Building in Bern, the Hotel Bellevue Palace serves as the state’s official guesthouse. The hotel rooms afford superb views of the Alps and come in various sizes and designs. The meeting rooms provide space for seminars, gatherings, large banquets and discreet business meetings as well as for dinners, cocktails and concerts. All the meeting rooms do have one thing in common however: with their stylish facilities, complemented by the uncomplicated care provided by the extremely friendly staff, they are also an excellent choice for your team event. bern.com
Full steam ahead
Formerly serving to supplement the facilities at the hydroelectric power station, this industrial brick building on the Aare river today houses a cultural diversity of dance, performance, music and club life.
Like the Marzilibad next door, the Dampfzentrale ("steam centre") is also a popular meeting place in the Swiss capital of Bern. The Turbine Hall (seating 420 people), the Kesselhaus (for a maximum of 400 people) and the Foyer (200 people) can be rented for concerts, seminars and banquets. Individually or even as an ensemble comprising all three together, as needed. The Dampfzentrale has a proven and highly experienced catering team to provide you with reliable and flexible assistance when arranging your event. bern.com
With that special something
With its blend of noblesse, fame and history, the Palace towers high above Gstaad and is, in every way, the perfect venue for your conference, seminar or other event.
Five meeting rooms with surface areas ranging from 21 to 240 square metres provide an atmospheric, discreet or festive ambience, depending on the seating and furnishings. They are also suitable as conference or banqueting areas or for elegant cocktail receptions. The ballroom, when illuminated by its crystal chandeliers, exudes a unique character. The wide windows afford views of the Swiss Alps on the horizon, while the room is warmed by the fire crackling in the hearth. With space for up to 350 people, the Baccarat room is, without doubt, the ideal space to add that "special something" to your team event. palace.ch
