Everything skiers and snowboarders could wish for

Perfectly groomed slopes, guaranteed snow, gigantic jumps and steep speed skiing runs, the ski areas of the Bernese Oberland leave nothing to be desired.
Once winter arrives in the Bernese Oberland, there is no holding back the skiers and snowboarders. The various ski areas attract visitors with slopes that are simply irresistible. Whether young or old, beginner or professional, this holiday destination has the right activity for every winter sports fan.

The more slopes, the more fun

Skiers and snowboarders can discover countless kilometres of slopes in the ski areas of the Bernese Oberland. Smaller children are well looked after at the Skihäsliland Bidmi in Meiringen-Hasliberg. Freestyle skiers can practise their tricks at the snow and fun park Gran Masta Park in Adelboden-Lenk and speed freaks can enjoy the longest downhill course of the alpine Ski World Cup in Wengen. Winter sports fans can have fun in the snow from the end of October to the beginning of May on the Glacier 3000 in the Gstaad region. The glacier is one of the favourite freeriding areas in the Bernese Oberland. Away from the perfectly groomed slopes there is even more that Bern’s four biggest ski areas have to offer. And with exquisite meals and warming beverages visitors can recharge in one of the many mountain restaurants while admiring the beautiful panoramic views of the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau, the Finsteraarhorn or the Mont Blanc massif. After the fun on the slopes, visitors can find relaxation as well as various activities, such as curling or ice-skating, in the authentic mountain villages of Gstaad, Adelboden or Mürren, to name just a few.

Fresh air and untouched slopes

Enjoy a touch of Canada in the Bernese Oberland, with heli-skiing. The helicopter will take you up from the valley, past glaciers and mountain peaks to one of the official mountain landing sites, where untouched slopes await the tracing of the first tracks. You are always accompanied by a capable mountain guide. In harmony with nature, visitors can, for example, leave curves in the deep snow on the high Alpine descent from the Ebnefluh at 3,910 metres above sea level to the Lötschenlücke. After arriving down there, it is time to go by helicopter to the Petersgrat at an altitude of 3,126 metres, followed by the 18 kilometre long descent over the Tschingelfirn to Stechelberg. When the conditions are right, it is even possible to take a trip to Lötschental.
