Blue slopes

Skiing fun for beginners and families

A skiing holiday that's fun for everyone. That's what you get with the fantastically beautiful blue slopes in the Bernese Oberland and the Bernese Jura – and they're especially good for children and families.
The Egg children's lift on the Grimmialp
The Grimmialp winter sports area in the Diemtigtal Nature Park has four kilometres of blue slopes and, with the Egg children's lift right by the valley station, it's perfect for novice skiers. Just next to the button lift is the Eggli restaurant, so parents can enjoy a coffee on the terrace and watch as their children make their first turns.

The Hornfluh-Saanenmöser slope in Gstaad
The blue slope from the Hornfluh stretches for about seven kilometres down to Saanenmöser, with fantastic 360-degree views of the Alps of the Bernese Oberland. It's a great backdrop for beginners! There are bars and restaurants on the slope, ideal for when you need to recover and fortify yourself so you can carry on skiing.

The Wengen-Allmend slope from the Wengernalp
These are the kind of slopes that novice skiers dream of: the blue slope from the Wengernalp descends gradually over 600 m of vertical distance, with views of the Bernese Alps all the way to Allmend and on down to the village of Wengen. One of the real highlights is the section where this beginners' slope runs through the snowy forest.

The main Bühlberg slope at Lenk
The main blue slope from the top to the bottom of the Bühlberg chairlift in the Lenk skiing area offers lots of space, amazing views and simply enjoyable skiing. Meanwhile there's fun for all the family on the 800 m long fun slope with its long rolling hills, sweeping corners and even a short tunnel.
