These bathing spots are perfect for diving, crawling and paddling
From a spectacular white-water canyon to slides with special effects, the Canton of Bern’s swimming pools are all about fun for the whole family.
When it comes to swimming and bathing, visitors to the Canton of Bern have almost endless options. Float gently in the Aare, bathe sustainably in Saint-Imier thanks to solar power, paddle with a panoramic view of the Eiger North Face in the openair swimming pool Hellbach in the Jungfrau Region or swim the four lanes of the Moutier outdoor pool in the Three-Lakes Region, hidden in a green valley.
Brimming with joy
Little captains are in command at the Frutigen indoor pool. Thanks to the water slide and boat canal, they can really run riot here. The Bernaqua leisure pool in Bern is a delight for all ages, with a jungle landscape and pirate ship to fire the imagination and a steam grotto and sauna to bring relief from the daily grind. In the white-water canyon, visitors can show off their Indiana Jones skills. Another cinematic experience can be found at the Wallbach Bad in Lenk, where the water slide is accompanied by lighting and sound effects.
Built close to the water
If you’re looking for a holiday mood on a bathing beach or refreshment in a mountain lake, Interlaken and Gstaad are the places to be. Both also feature artificial lidos that promise plenty of fun. The five-metre diving platform at the Gstaad outdoor pool or the whirlpool and Kneipp area at Interlaken’s Bödelibad are just some of the attractions that water-loving visitors can enjoy to the full.
