Powder snow galore: welcome to the Swiss mecca for freeriding and heli-skiing

Unlimited freedom: freeriders experience this feeling in the Bernese Oberland. Away from the slopes, there is glittering powder snow, forests covered in deep snow, and pure skiing fun.
The powder snow glitters in the sun, tracks of other skiers are (still) nowhere to be seen: guests experience the feeling of unlimited freedom while freeriding in the Bernese Oberland. Those who like to go out on their own, and have experience of off-piste skiing, will find freeride slopes on the Männlichen, Schiltgrat, Schilthorn or Lauberhorn. The freeride tour from Schilthorn (German) to Gimmeln, which takes just under three hours, has a particularly charming landscape. Anyone who does not want to venture out into the deep snow alone should make sure they take a freeride tour with an experienced mountain guide. With their know-how, visitors to the Bernese Oberland are certain to find a suitable route away from the pistes.

Fresh air and untouched slopes

Enjoy a touch of Canada in the Bernese Oberland, with heli-skiing. The helicopter will take you up from the valley, past glaciers and mountain peaks to one of the official mountain landing sites, where untouched slopes await the tracing of the first tracks. You are always accompanied by a capable mountain guide. In harmony with nature, visitors can, for example, leave curves in the deep snow on the high Alpine descent from the Ebnefluh at 3,910 metres above sea level to the Lötschenlücke. After arriving down there, it is time to go by helicopter to the Petersgrat at an altitude of 3,126 metres, followed by the 18 kilometre long descent over the Tschingelfirn to Stechelberg. When the conditions are right, it is even possible to take a trip to Lötschental.
