Bern offers mountain bikers a great variety of downhill tracks to let loose
Helmet on, swing into the saddle, and zoom downhill: from Bern to Interlaken, cyclists practice their latest tricks on the downhill routes.
The Canton of Bern is a paradise for downhill fans. Demanding routes lead through the middle of the countryside and offer numerous opportunities to optimise one’s riding style and accomplish new feats.
Very close to the town, Bern’s local mountain, the Gurten, is the home of all freeriders. With raised curves, 370 metres of height, and the bike-wash system, you will always want to ride another circuit.
Enthusiastic mountain bikers are attracted from Magglingen onto the Biel Trail. Steep, stony sections alternate with flat, fast stretches. 15 jumping places of up to nine metres are the ideal locations for exciting tricks.
