Gstaad und Lenk

The local alpine culture is widely celebrated at the AlpKultur® days in Lenk. During the festivities there are workshops on paper cutting, making up floral wreaths to adorn the cows, and during the Hornussen tournament (a traditional Swiss sport) you can try your hand at hitting the ‘nouss’ or puck. Another highlight of this alpine festival are the Simmental cows with their floral decorations, and it is from their ranks that Miss Lenk is ultimately crowned.

The varied landscape with more than 150 km of cycling routes around Gstaad and Lenk is just waiting to be explored by e-bike. Two mountain huts and two oversized caquelons (fondue pots) are ideally suited as cosy backdrops for enjoying a fondue to panoramic views. Just remember to pre-book your backpack the day before from one of the dairies in Schönried, Saanen, Gstaad or Zweisimmen.

Modern design elements were added to the old traditional structure when the farmhouse was converted into a guest house. The six cosy bedrooms offer the ideal retreat after an eventful day. The barn with its open fireplace and adjoining bower are the perfect spot for a well-earned break, not to mention the pretty garden.
